As i sit here all alone

Surrounded by my loneliness

My self consciousness,my shame

I see people around me

Going about their way

People to meet,places to go

And I keep sitting still



Drown myself in the tunes

Can't wait to be all alone

But my inner self smirks

and asks me

Isn't this the same

Loneliness is a constant companion

People come and people go

What remains,what stays

Painful reminders of my plight

The loneliness in my life



I can feel it devouring me

Bite by bite

Eating from my heart

Creating tiny holes

I say stop,its hurting me

But the savage beast goes on

Consuming every inch of me

Leaving a void,a space
